Sound Society 2020: Our Year In Review

As we close out the year of 2020 we want to express our deepest gratitude for all our clients and community. This year has been quite the journey (to say the least!)

Amidst all the challenges we have faced, we are proud to see how much we were able to evolve and grow as performers and event professionals. We truly would not have been able to make it through without the support of our wonderful clients and fellow vendors. As we look forward to the future of 2021, we want to share some shining spots of 2020:

The Early Months

January and February held some wonderful memories! Before the pandemic affected us in full force, we got to experience some lovely “normal” weddings. Full dance floors, full hearts, and a whole lot of good times. Additionally, we were able to perform for prospective clients at one of our live showcases in NYC! Here’s a clip from one of our performances:

A Chance to Grow

Creating a new band package with additional options for our clients to choose from was something we had been planning for a while. This year, we finally had the opportunity to put it in place. Sound Society is now proud to offer a 9-Piece, 11-Piece, 12-Piece & 14-Piece Dance Band! With 2020 adding an extra layer of uncertainty, we also wanted to make sure that couples can enjoy as stress free a booking process as possible. When you book with Sound Society, we offer complimentary Flexible Date Bookings should you need to change your date. Find out more about our packages here!

We Started a Blog

Launching this blog has been one of our favorite things we have done this year. We have loved being able to share our insights on topics like events and music. In addition, we have thoroughly enjoyed being able to highlight our couples, their real weddings, excellent vendors, and our talented musicians. These people are the heart and soul of our operation. It has helped us stay connected to you and our purpose of creating the most memorable occasions. We cannot wait to continue producing more content here!

A Summer of Love

While many of our summer weddings were rescheduled for later dates, we did manage to pull off a few small COVID receptions during those warm months. We saw some absolutely stunning, scenic, outdoor venues. We worked with detailed and incredibly talented wedding coordinators who kept events safe, but also heartfelt! We celebrated love from a socially distant stage and adapted to the ever-changing circumstances. The couples we worked with were phenomenal and exemplified what a strong partnership looks like in real life. Our summer wedding season was an excellent reminder of what working in weddings is truly all about.

We Went Virtual

We realize the importance of seeing a band live before you book them. With our live showcases being canceled, we decided to film a virtual showcase at one of our favorite venues in NYC, DROM! Catch the full set on our Facebook and YouTube.

See you in the New Year!
